hammAR,
Do you think it should be open for all, or use a vetting process? If the latter, which makes more sense, who's going to pick whom?

I liked the nomination process at TCC and if there gets to be the traffic to demand a blanket party errr moderator group, I think nominations to them and a quick consensus would be good too.
private or small grou permit classes available

I'm a little confused. Was there a forum at TCC that required you to be voted in?

I'm still trying to figure it out but for now you have to go in your User Control Panel and check the box saying that DST is in effect.

Click User Control Panel on the upper-right, then Board Preferences. Make sure it's set for Central Time and Summer Time/DST is in effect is flagged "Yes."

don't worry, it's pretty dumb that you have to check a box. Attempting to fix that is on the checklist.

The proxy to Bill's might have worked in that they may not have blocked it but since they specifically prohibit proxy and filter circumvention sites I'll bet it would raise a flag and that isn't good.

This is a nice site. I'm looking forward to discovering what PHBB3 has to offer.

I use a SSH tunnel to get around filters, and it's not a true proxy either. I could get you set up with an account if you are interested.

I was in, but didn't see the benefit at the time I guess.

it was started when Joel invited some press members in and also, I think, started getting some vibes that some trojan horse profiles were showing up. He would look at posts over time plus personal recommendations by others that so and so was a legit gunny and not a tin hat type nor a mole and send out some invitations. It was to keep some discussions out of Google and the other public eyes.

I would like that very much here. if possible.

Heck HammAR has more posts than you and I combined so a timeout for a few days should take care of that! ;)
