Nah, I've served my time. If I take another position dealing with what the mods of this board have to put up with I will get paid for it.

You're one of the folks carrying the torch about how ******* this place is, and seem to tout infinite wisdom on how to fix it......... maybe you should man up and volunteer for the job. 8-)

I'm glad you were able to send a PM asking for a resolution. I hope it helps.

Don't recall ever carrying any torch, I think you got me confused with others. All I did was try to keep this crappy calendar up to date and fix an app bug.

But I'll tell you what, sign this domain over to me and i'll show you how to run a forum.

Why not just start your own like everyone else? :rotf:

I've run a few forums over the years and this one isn't highly customized past the base installation, shouldn't be a hard fix - if anyone with power chooses to do so. Heck, I'll fix it if given admin rights for 15 minutes.

That said, I'd rather have Tapatalk enabled and deal with a broken PM system than have it ditched altogether...

If someone has time - great, if not - great. :geek:

Greetings Gents,

Just so no one is confused, Tom and I are admins on the forum, but have no server access whatsoever. That's a totally different ball game. In order to install or modify code, or even run scripts, we have to send those requests to Rucker. That includes installing plug-ins like Tapatalk, or doing phpBB upgrades, like was discussed above. Rucker gets to his to-do list every so often, and when he does a whole bunch of things usually get fixed/modded all at once. Hopefully this will happen soon.

Thanks for looking into this David, I think everyone acknowledges that checking out admin stuff is above and beyond your call of duty.

Hopefully a quick re-install of taptalk will take care of this. :)

For the price we pay this shouldn't take nearly this long. :ugeek:

Is the forum just kind of running on a 'it is what it is' basis these days? 5 months for a code tweak seems a bit long for even an enhancement let alone something that is broken.

The forum is active enough to where someone else could (should?) perhaps wear the hat for a while.
