I have some experience in setting this kind of thing up, but never on such short notice

The site may be slow, I am going to look into upgrading my hosting plan tonight. It should get us by for now.

Although the forum is going to be subject to construction and reorganization we shouldn't lose any posts so don't hold back.

Although there is no content yet I am working on getting the word out!

I suggest adding to the rules "I understand that other people might post offensive stuff even if it violates the rules and I agree that the forum owner isn't responsible." (Personally, I'd make the rule "I agree not to be offended by what other people post.")
