Query re deleting one's own posts

DId I miss the memo? Can we no longer delete one's own posts? I made an an error on one where I in essence double posted. I went to delete the second....and that was not an option on my own post.
Where did I leave the Tardis?

Oh...I see I could delete the above post.... Is it that you just cannot delete if there has been a reply?

Normally that's right, although some boards have a time limit too.

You can't delete it once there is a post after it. It's always been that way.
