Why can't I reply to the post?

Sorry, if it was brought up before and I missed it.
I see the post but I can't reply to it. Is it by design? Let say I have a question for the seller and the same question another members might have. So everyone should PM to seller? Why? Or I want to buy the item and want to post "I'll take it" knowing that nobody was before me.
It was not like this a few months ago.

I guess you have to count on sellers being nice enough to put up relevant stuffs. if I got the same question twice I'd add the answer to the info. I bet this cuts down on scammy stuff. you can't take it, unless the seller says so. also just because you're the first to post I'll take it doesn't mean somebody didn't pm already saying so.

I don't really know though.
