Just recently I have been getting error messages everytime I try to play a YouTube video that has been embedded in the post. If just the link is there, they play fine. Any suggestions?

You need to edit the URL.

YouTube's current format doesn't work in Markdown, you need to use the old one.

If I put https://youtu.be/gH0FJlZ5pPU in a YouTube tag, I get this:
[youtube=https://youtu.be/gH0FJlZ5pPU][/youtube]

But if I put http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gH0FJlZ5pPU, I get this:



(Note - the URL belongs after the '=', not between "][".)

I’m not trying to imbed them. I trying to play videos that are imbedded. When I hit the play arrow, they don’t play and I get an error message.

That's a browser problem.
