Let us know what you find.. I have a new Kimber Pro Crimson Carry II. I have only used the 2 Kimber mags I have in it and have had no issues in the last 100 rounds, but I did have a few FTF and a few FRBs early on. Would be nice to know if I should be replacing my Kimber mags

If this is a carry weapon, after a few FTF and a few FRBs those mags would be FUBAR, IMESHO.... :P

Dissassemble your mags, when I was loading one of the Kimber 8 rounders I bought the other day, it felt wrong, so I took it apart, and the spring had been installed upside down.

This may be your issue.

If handload ammo, that's a seating depth and crimping issue. Bullet walks out of case and binds, as a rule. If factory ammo is being used, it is the fault of the clip. One option is to scrap the spring and follower and go with nylon follower and Wolf extra strength spring. Also, short piece of lath wrapped with tripoli, add a little elbow grease to lap it smooth. I have Wilson's in my Les Baer Wadgun, never a problem with handloads crimped with Lee Factory Crimp die. There are many non-US made clips on market bearig familiar brands......caveat emptor ..Good luck.

All failures were with factory ammo.

Doug at Bill's told me that Ryan's first response is always "try a CMC", so I picked one up. First thing I noticed is how much smoother it loads than the Kimber mags. Range trip this week, we'll see...

So...

The McCormick was the worst yet.

Tried a little jewelers rouge on the ramp. Maybe that will help. (sigh)

The only other common thread here is that almost all the ammo through it has been Blazer aluminum (I went cheap for break-in ammo). Could this be contributing?

I'm concerned that it was even worse today than it's been thus far.

Did you ever get any Wilson mags to try?

Get some factory BRASS ammo, running through a 47D, and report back.

Yep. Sure could. I would stick with brass or nickle. Could make a huge difference. I've had a couple of guns/mags that didn't care for the aluminum cased stuff.

Heh. Exclude, actually. Two other people besides me have experienced it.
