Looking to borrow some Scaffolding

Postby FJ540 on Wed May 26, 2010 4:35 pm

I've gotta redo my soffits and siding this spring, and would rather borrow or even rent the stuff from a friend rather than pay the rental house.

I don't need a lot, just the little 5'er they sell at menards would be sufficient. I just don't need the thing for the rest of my life, so I'd rather not buy one if it can be avoided.

I have one that's being used as a storage rack at the moment. One of the pins is MIA, but if I can find a bolt to take it's place then she'll be ready to go. Let me know if you still need to use one.

Thanks for the offer, but I've been getting by with a ladder.

And sadly, it's still not done.

I am a GC and on some larger residential stuff we occasionally do the scaffold dance. I just bought some Safeway planks for $15 from a guy on CL. He had a ton of new vanguard scaffolding and a couple hundred planks for sale. He was in Bloomington.

You can also rent scaffolding pretty cheap...

The snow is the cause for the delay. I don't need to get the stuff done till the weather warms up.
