wife's walker game ears take N batteries.

Target has 'em. Got four new ones in the range bag for her. She'll arm wrestle you for them. She fights dirty.

Go.

It's an HP-41CX in the original box with manuals and the financial module. It's worth a lot to collectors if it still works.

That's the one I used most of my engineering career. I don't have the financial module but I do have the magnetic card reader. All original boxes and manuals too. If I remember a couple of the segments of the display don't work any more.

Great calculator!

I use a HP 48 GX now, I liked the HP 41 better but it couldn't do as much.

Collectors love that magnetic reader. Go to ebay and search completed auctions. They even like the broken ones for parts. You might get enough for half a new gun or a couple cases of ammo.

Well, I bought the batteries and it didn't work. Looks like I'll recoup my losses though: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 500wt_1156

Who'd a thunk a broken calculator would be so valuable?

I used to have one of these, threw it away because of trouble with the batteries :hammer:
You have to clean the contacts on both the calculator and the battery pack thingy. It'll work for a little while then act like the batteries are dead.
