bore sighter

Postby tt3 on Mon Sep 12, 2011 4:08 pm

Can someone close to Coon Rapids or Blaine or whatever lend me a bore sighter to fit my wife's 9mm so I can get the back sight adjusted closer without a range trip? It was shooting too high. I can't make it to the range to shoot it because they don't let me bring a 1yo along during the day and the evenings are full with hockey softball figure skating... I'd like to get it closer before Sunday's LCT. I'll be down in Robbinsdale tomorrow morning if that helps?

I think Wed morning I am going to do some load development up at ICSC. I could probably squeeze a bit o time to keep an eye on your rugrat while you sight in if that helps.

Thanks for the offer, my wife nixed being that far while the kids are in school. Something about them recovering from colds, nebulizers, epi pens or something. Thankfully I married well, she doesn't have a problem bringing my 1yo daughter to the range. :)
I'll probably pick one up today or tomorrow and just be done with it if I can't borrow one.

Please remember to remove the bore sighter from the firearm before firing said firearm. Not saying you would, just a safety reminder.

Cracked me up, I was half expecting to use the one that was posted earlier that wasn't removed!

I went to Gander to see what they had (Closer than Cabelas) but am leery of dropping $50-60 on one off the rack and have it work like crap.

I did get a $30 truglo red dot though... one more thing to sight in once I get it where I want it.
