Anyone have a Kimber CDP

The CDP comes in all the Kimber sizes. Are you looking for a Compact/Ultra size frame?

Yeah, it's been a whole day full of eff ups for me. Yep, the most pressing is the compact, but I would also like to get a template for the officer. PM inbound Hammar.

Compact and Officers is the same grip size.

There is government/full size and officers/compact in grip sizes. Same way for magazines, two sizes. The only unique grip size could be the EMP, not sure if it is an Officer size grip, never verified that one.

I have had the pleasure of handling 3 sizes of 1911 frame wise, in a standard 8, 7 and 6 round mag capacity respectively. Am I confusing compact with Micro, or am I just confused? Eventually I want to be set up for all of them.

That is what I said.

OK, make it simpler, there are two size grips in 1911 the world, full size and compact. Now if a compact is called a micro by one manufacturer, another calls theirs the Ultra, then Colt calls theirs in that size an Officer, plus they also have the Defender, they are all the same size grip frames, just different vendor's names and barrel lengths. Same here, we have the Commander, Pro CDP, Champion, government, etc., etc., all full sized frames, but different barrel lengths.

I have a pair of grips she made for my Ed Brown Kobra Carry, in rosewood picazzo. Very nicely selected wood, and magnificently crafted. The wood is the other side of a finely crafted pistol.

The Springfield EMP and Officer's grips have the same hole spacing. I tried them, holes line up.

The EMP grip is the "thin" style of 1911 grip and requires the special thin style of grip screw inserts mounted into the frame.

The EMP grip panel is also narrower (about 0.138) than the Officer's grip. Makes sense since they reduced the frame in that area for the shorter 9 mm and 40 SW.
