I hate jackass responses like "who's your instructor," or "that should have been covered in your training." They are typical responses over there. edit->and unfortunately sometimes here as well.

Even if you receive the best training in the world, I think it's pretty well documented that retention rates from a classroom are well under 20%.

Who was your instructor?

You were.

That's hilarious.

There is sometimes a point to it...more the second statement than the first.

I had someone with a carry permit once explain to me that going into the MOA past the signs was a felony, supposedly told so by their instructor based on the fact that Bloomington PD would detain anyone they caught carrying.

No, I don't know who the original instructor was, nor did I ask. I did tell the person politely that there was too much wrong with that statement to know where to start, and told them the actual law, followed by the thought that a refresher might be in order from a different instructor. No idea if they actually took the advice, and I hadn't gotten my certs done yet at that time, so I couldn't provide said refresher.

ETA - Possible that the student was a total lying doofus, and blamed the instructor for them not paying attention? Sure.
Back to being just a guy.
No, not that guy. Or that other one either.

Yes, yes it was.
It turns out that what you have is less important than what you do with it.

MNGunTalk has gotten a number of new members and members that are coming more. There are some standard answers to questions that do not mean the same as over at TCC. The main one is-

Who was your instructor? On MGT it's a smartass answer, on TCC they are saying your instructor didn't cover it.

More on that later! MGT smartass answer, on TCC watch for more BS

When I'm a mod. MGT wishful thinking by justawishiwasamod, TCC everybody is a mod

Add to the list to help the new comers.

A couple of :rulez: to remember while surfin the net.

When asked a question such as " WHO WAS YOUR INSTRUCTOR? "

HEY wake up :wack: No :sleepin: thru class now :!:

Don't ask don't tell :salute:

ONLY say "I want my lawyer" :!:

Don't say anything !!

Nothin, else at all :!:

EVER :!:

Don't even think it cause it's fraud!

and you'll be removed permanently!

If this should happen remember to return to MNGT as soon as possible as cheers and chants and :grouphug:s are given regularly whether they're needed or not.
