Looks like we may have found another invaluable local resource. It's always nice to keep the business within our local community... Instead of some out of state catalog or internet setup.

How far did you have to go for the transfer? and was your G17 less than $350 like Streichers? Didn't think so.

You didn't feel uncomfortable dealing with an establishment that requires you to get buzzed OUT of the store?

That (among other things) makes me nervous.

ETA Streichers (unlike some local stores) does on site transfers, doesn't keep you hostage with an internal lock, and has amazing customer service. FWIW.

Here's an idea why doesn't someone call Streicher's and ask them, I know it's more fun throwing out your theories. I'm not calling because I don't care if they carry Glocks or Needlepoint kits.

Yup. +1

Yeah, people should just shut the hell up about Streichers.

You know, STREICHERS POLICE SUPPLY the place that sells used Glocks cheap.

And STREICHERS POLICE SUPPLY has good defensive ammo for half of what the other guys sell it for.

We shouldn't tell anyone that STREICHERS POLICE SUPPLY is located at 10911 W Hwy 55, Plymouth, MN 55441 and

STREICHERS POLICE SUPPLY can be reached by telephone at (763) 546-1155.

Yeah, if people would just shut up about this place and their great deals and fantastic customer service, we could beat them into charging less for their product by choking off their business for our own selfish gain. After all, why should they be allowed to prosper in the market? That seems reasonable.

Just keep your yapper shut about the prices on used tupperware.

So you mean I shouldn't tell people that STREICHERS POLICE SUPPLY often carries USED GLOCKS for MUCH LESS THAN $400.00?

is that what you're trying to say?

Ok.... Since someone needed to butch up and call, I figured it might as well be me. According to Streicher's ... Specifically Todd at Streicher's.... Their contract with Glock expires on 12/31/09 and they will not be renewing it. They are going to be pretty much an exclusive S&W dealer.

Good for them. Finally wising up I see. Now, if only they could talk S&W into getting rid of that **** external extractor on their "1911"s  ......

That's interesting, especially since they were also selling Kimbers at a reasonable price... I wonder if they will discontinue those too since they are pushing towards being S&W exclusive. I guess I could have asked.... But internet rumors, accusations and such.

not having the Glock contract probably WON'T keep them from buying agency guns and selling them at good prices. Good prices, good industry and public sector connections, and Good people. that's a business plan right there :-)

Streicher's has always treated me well.

Very interesting! Todd's pretty much the man when it comes to info there on firearms, so that's as solid a source as I need.

What metro departments are going to move to M&Ps, I wonder...

I bet Larry at GS would be willing to put up with all the demands of being a GSSF dealer...

Wait, scratch that, nevermind.
