Pat-

It's a Smith 627 v-comp redone by Apex. The cylinder release is a Hogue Long Extended.

Look at these photos to see some of the process.

I had that gun and holster on my table at the Mankato gun show this past weekend with a price that was a multiple of what it's actual retail should be. People would come by, pick it up, check it out closely, stand back and whisper with their friends trying to figure out the reasoning behind the price I had on it. I had one person ask if there was some special markings or history that he wasn't aware of. :?
For the few that asked why the price, I told them I was trying to at least break even on the deal, at that point they just didn't want to ask anymore questions. :D

Wow, that got me thinking about 1911's and where to start, Baers, 10mm, customs or every day plain jane carry.

Your Swiss ASAI One-Pro 45 is VERY interesting. :D

Very nice pics. Those are all some handsome firearms.

My current favorite is, as usual for me, my most recent addition. This LAR Grizzly was born as a .45 Winchester Magnum, converted to 10mm, then hard chromed. It came with the standard barrel, I just added a 6-1/2" barrel a couple days back.

I may or may not get involved with the .45 Win Mag cartridge, I'm still undecided.

Personally, I was thinking about starting with the Connemara.

All 5 of these Colts are over 90 years old and are in original condition with the exception of the 1911 which was refurbished during WW2.
