Actually I've gotten more effort and caring out of Larry than I have craig. Larry does what he says he'll do. I've had the same lack of follow through with craig as some of you are talking about.

Both decent guys. They do enough business that they likely don't have to be 100% perfect in holding customer's hands. But if you want something from them, you have to know how to work with them. Takes the right approach. If you don't use the right approach, your results might not be what you want. :) I think the approach is to keep calling them if you don't hear back. Squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Visited Frontiersman this afternoon -- I've been in the market for a used HK USP Compact in .40 - and of course, there's one in the case in pristine condition. Thought about it for a bit, one of the guys (Tom, I think?) walked me through its condition, and I wound up leaving with it.

I'll echo what others have said - I liked the service I received, noted that the pricing was more than fair, particularly on the selection of used guns. I also knew exactly what I was after while I was in there though :)

I'll be coming back next time I'm after a handgun -

I like Frontiersman too. I usually look for Herb. He is a good guy to deal with. Never dealt with Marv but I hear he is good too

I forgot to post a day or so ago when I had gotten word back from John (at Southwest Arms is it?) Nice guy. He got back to me about what I was looking for in a few hours (max). It was probably more like under 1 hour. Unfortunately his supplier didn't have what I wanted. They had 1 of the 3 guns (2 are identical) I was looking for but it has night sights. Night sights are great and all, but I actually specifically wanted all 3 to have the same old fashioned sights. So, I'd be paying extra for a feature I don't want.

I'm hoping he'll send me an email if he sees any come through.

I'm not able to walk into GunStop as of the moment as I'm temporarily out of town, but I did call them yesterday and spoke with Larry instead of Craig.

To my (most pleasant) surprise, a few hours later he called me back to let me know that one distributor has 2 of the guns I was looking for, unfortunately just like with John at Southwest Arms, they have night-sights, but whatever - what I care about more is that he got back to me...... which means that John at Southwest Arms, and Larry at Gunstop, are my new best friends.

I missed his callback and he left a voicemail yesterday, so I'll call him back to discuss how to go about finding the guns without the nightsights. I'm encouraged though to know of two sellers that will get back to me though.

So, I guess Craig just is disorganized and was misplacing the notes regarding my calls. Larry is who I'll deal with there, and I'll try to do as much business with John at Southwest as possible.

I think my next move is to call Kahr and have them tell me what distributor(s) will get the next shipment of the models I'm looking for. I did that 6 months ago so I could give that info to Craig, but I'll do that for Larry now.

So, things are starting to go my way. I'll call Frontiersman too even though I'm out of town. I'm not on vacation or anything, so anything to pass the time is good.

Kevin at DKmags is a good guy as well, he just brokered a deal for me to a customer he had looking for a gun I was getting rid of. He will also check around and see what he can get for you...
