reputable gunsmiths

can any of you recommend a reputable gunsmith in the metro or surrounding area? I figure it's always good to have a contingency plan in case my rifle needs servicing.

I have had the bulk of my work done at Joe's in St Paul. It's been a while so the smith's name escapes me. He has done rifle and shotgun work everything turned out great.

Ryan at Bill's. He works at Robbinsdale but of course you can drop off at Circle Pines, too.

Fred @ Woodbury Gander Mountain. Be prepared for a wait.

Pat Laib out in Spicer.

IMO you should avoid "Bob" at Joe's Sporting Goods in Roseville.

I will second this one. Ryan has done some work for me and did a great job at a more than fair price.

Pat in spicer is great, for shotguns, maybe amongst the best. I dont know if he even takes other types of guns though. He wouldnt take my varmint gun when i needed the bbl crowned a little better a few years back.

It's been a bit slow, been busy getting ready for hunting so it's been put aside again, should be a good winter project.
