WIth regards to eating urban squirrels. I would not, they have been surviving on the fringe and its not just nuts and acorns they are eating. The possibility of eating one thats had a good diet of plastics, oil and fecal tainted water, huggies and the rest of urban refuse leaves me a bit "off" on the subject....

I'm going to resume trapping but I want to kill them humanely with a shot to the head while in the trap and then dump them into the city furnished trash bin...there's just too many of them....

I understand the damage that squirrels can do, but all this talk about disposing of rodents makes me very nervous.

4 feet of 4 inch pvc pipe strapped vertically to a fence post. Cap it on the bottom. Spread peanut butter around the inside as far down as you can reach. In warmer weather, put a foot of water in the bottom. In colder weather, wait until something is in it to add the water. Black hole for tree rats.

Get a live trap. After the squirrels are caught, spray paint them with Crip gang colors, and set them loose in North Minneapolis. They will either get good homes or be shot on sight...

I'm going to quote this so you survivalist pretender practicers read this again: Urban Critters are often full of poison. THEY EAT GARBAGE. Who's to say that the urban tree rat you just fried up isn't full of warfarin that it munched on 20 minutes earlier at your neighbors house?

take live trap put it in a large fleet farm bag run hose from car exaust to bag start car run 10 mns dead tree rat, thats how we did the racoons we trapped for the city of st paul 20 yrs ago or take trap down the basement put BB in its head bag and trash.
