I don't happen to own one of those, and have never seen one. In a conventional semi-auto, it always goes up and to the right, anywhere from 6 to 20 feet to the right, and with hot loads it's closer to 20 than 6.

You must have messed up your ejectors with all the re-loads you're shooting. I just set a coffee can behind me and each brass casing soars in a perfect arch into it. Sometimes I'll shoot my gat sideways and yell "three pointer" when it shoowshes perfectly into the can! :D

I find this quite funny and really wish you would post who the employee is. Both of my roommates work at Bill's, the stories they tell...

Just about all the things you guys have posted about have been talked about by them. Getting flagged multiple times a day by different people is common. People shooting the lights out. Hell, I heard a recent story of an Army soldier (Doesn't surprise me being a Marine ) shooting the light out. Then when asked what she was doing replies with "I didn't aim that time. FACEPALM

Not having your own ear and eye pro... seriously. I don't know if you guys realize this but if there wasn't a price per person. You could all make range trips with you whole family. Not much room on the line as it is, I wouldn't want someones whole family (Which I've seen at Bill's north) on the line. If I worked there, which my roommates try to persuade me to do. Not gonna happen. I would get sick and tired of the people who come in there. From the thugs, to the "Oh I'm a veteran, better show some respect." to the old farts. I've seen all of those people and attitudes there, I think the "MNGunTalk" community is a small percent.

Oh, I think some people actually forget guns there.

People do stupid things all the time, but you know what? Its the staff's responsibility to make sure everybody is doing what they're suppose to be doing safely. Customer service is customer service. Sometimes you will be sick and tired of people asking dumb questions or being absolute jack asses but at the end of the day its still your job and its the customers that pay you to keep your job. If you don't like helping people find yourself a cubical and file paper.

So you are telling me that you can't tell someone to pull their head out of their ass?

Where I was taught about firearms, everyone is a "Safety officer." If you see someone pointing a gun at another person, staff or customer yell at them.

Sure you can but should you have to. The indoor range I go to I have seen people get kicked out more than once for doing stupid stuff. It usally go something like, warning number one she tells what you are doing wrong and gives you one more chance. Second time pack up your stuff and have a nice day.

I shoot at BILL"S CP in the cold winter months.
I have a few small personal beefs with the Company. They are things I personally don't like.
But that said, John M. is a capitalist. This is America, home the free, land of the brave and the last bastion of capitalism on the planet. This is neither an endorsement of nor condemnation of Bill's policies and practices. John M. has the freedom to run his company anyway he chooses within legal limits and the forces of supply and demand economics.
If Bill's required PINK level 3 armor plate vests to worn while shooting , wear it or leave.
There is a hell of a lot that goes into running a business. A lot more than people think. For anyone who works for others..... just think how many times you may have soured a customer ( unknowingly or unwittingly not withstanding). Employee John Doe has fight with the wife and takes it out on customer X .. who goes viral with it because john Doe felt entitled to act like and A**hole. just think about it.
Remember next time you want to kidney punch the little local business like Bill's, boycotting them gives the Gander Mountain's of the world tha ability to continue to bend you over.

Ahhhh, the American way. [Rant activated] (BTW, this isn't directed at Robb at all, I feel the pain. This is just a reality check for the general bill's complainers).

These days people take it for granted, expecting European type comfort and ease with American type results and freedom. Guess what? You are not entitled ****. Welcome to economics 101, supply and demand. Bills has supply.

They have the best and most guns for rent, as well as multiple ranges/lanes in a easy to access location. They don't require ridiculous yearly fees, waiting lists, sponsors, work hours. etc. The offer classes, great gunsmithing, special events, and a pro shop filled with goodies you can and can't afford.

Oh no, your hamburger doesn't taste that great? Boycotting bills is like boycotting McDonalds. Whats the point? You are not gonna hurt their business, many other fools will gladly pay for the pain mixed in with all the good stuff. What? it isn't up to your snooty standards? One overpriced gun sold to a Noob will pay for the lack of your meager business for the rest of the year. News flash, they never NEEDED you anyway.

So what to do?
a. Start your own **** range.
b. Make the snooty range you belong to be less exclusive to compete.
c. Start the exciting hobby of crochet.
d. Relax, realize that you are paying for the current state of the system/opportunities, and make the most of it.

{rant over]

My personal experience is that bills is just like all the skate and snowboard shops I used to loiter at as a youth. The more you hang and know people there, the better you get treated. Is that fair? If you wanted fair go join the commies. They will make sure you have fair in spades. Bills has the goods, and you can take them or leave them. I'm not saying that's the optimal situation, its just the way it is. I think some of their employees are the best around and really cool people, others are power tripping ********. Find me a business who doesn't have that problem and i'll buy you a cookie.

Customer service is only needed if a business really NEEDS the customer. A gun shop that just opened a frickin Restaurant next door is probably not hurting too bad. So i'll be curious how much suction the cries for customer service get. I would love to have scottsdale range up here in MN, or the cheapest, most customer centric range ever, but it ain't gonna happen (unless YOU do it). Relax ya'll, you can always shoot airsoft in your basements! :D

Long story short, John is a ****sucker and could give a chit less about his customers, because they have an essential monopoly. Bill's GS can pound sand, I would rather shoot outside when its -30 than support dickheads like him. [rant off}
