There was concern (not sure if fact or perception) that something (not sure if jackets, rocks, or what) where ricochetting out of the short range over into the 25. Got closed, then opened in the spring because some thought it was closed due to ice concerns, then reclosed right away pending discussion and investigation by the board. That is all I know.

Working great; I was happy with my target using my new Bodyguard. I think I shoot it better than my Centennial.

Then I looked next to me and saw the gentleman with the Smith Model 15 putting almost everything into one ragged hole...note to self; go to range more.

The extra half inch or so on the Bodyguard and the full underlug versus the normal barrel on the Centennial seems like it makes it a better shooter for me. Makes it hard to fit some pocket holsters, though.

Everything looked good today - I chose the covered 25 to stay out of the rain though...and to play with the new Security Six...weeeeee!

Hey all,

I wasn't familiar with the OGC until recently. Sounds like exactly what I am looking for! It's less than a 30 minute drive, great facilities, open 365, and it's not $#!!'s gun range. I just completed the registration form to become a member, and I was a little disappointed to find out they send all offers to join by March. I was wondering, for those of you that are members, if it is usually quite a long wait to get an invitation? Say years, or maybe I am just out of luck for this year. Any info from members would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-A

Hey Apestoso.

I applied in the fall/winter of '09 and was inducted the following March. Just last March I was helping with new member orientation and I was hearing waits from six months to two years. We're growing, so you might get lucky. At any rate, we open to the public on the fourth of June. Look forward to seeing you around the club.

Be an optimist. Compared to the waiting list to get season tickets for the Green Bay Packers, this is nuthin.
The Packers ticket office is estimating that fans placing their names on the waiting list this year can expect to be called, beamed, lasered, or telepathicly informed in 2050 for the right to buy Packers season tickets.

Hang in there. They increased the membership count this year, so you might get in sooner than years past.
