Cheaper Membership to NRA?

I got my renewal yesterday for the 5-year membership to NRA--$125! Wow! That is a lot of money. Five years ago I was working and probably had the money, but not working these days makes that amount look huge. Wondering if any of you know any cheaper ways to membership in the NRA? I would like to continue to be a member but probably not going to happen at that amount a year!

Ive been a Lifetime member for the last 10 years and back then they allowed Quarterly payments of something like 19.00?
An awesome deal for supporting our rights. Not to mention a certain amount of bragging rights for the LifeTime Membership.
Recently they had a deal for Lifetime members to sponsor a Son or Daughter. 300.00 and they are LifeTime members as well. My Son now has a lifetime membership

Well, most people who know me would say I was disabled! Can I get a special deal if I am disabled?

If you are active duty, retired or disabled vet( i think for these its a reduced lifetime membership, and active is free) they hook you up with anual membership if I understand corectly.

There are plenty of ways to fight for gun rights... Simply buying a firearm or related product helps. Having a free, discounted, or lifetime membership is better than nothing. Some folks might rather give their money to smaller or local organizations too. I don't believe the NRA is exactly hurting when it comes to funding.

I get it for $25/yr through my gun club. We can also get it for $10 if we want to be a non-voting member.
