Pro Staff opportunity - do i take it?

Postby Perch_44 on Wed Aug 17, 2011 9:44 am

just this past week I was approached by Beretta, and asked to join their pro staff, and would have to work my first event next weekend at a local cabelas, for their great outdoor days.

now, this pays OK, get a decent discount, paid expenses, etc.

but, I really only want to do this, if it gives me an opportunity to possibly go somewhere in the industry.

anyone on the forum have any insight to this? Will this get me anywhere, or am I just another "workhorse" for them for events? Don't feel like giving up my weekends for a few extra bucks and that alone.

You can always quit if it isn't working out, right?

I have it on good authority that Shippy has higher standards than that. He held out for MD20/20. :D

night train? 20/20???

ametuer hour i assure you - unless you've used wild irish rose and a space bag of franzia as MIXERS then i'll ask you to most politely "step outta my grill"......

but anyways, back to the topic at hand, i'd take the opportunity and run with it for a bit. like 1911fan said, it's a foot in the door and these days it's 100% who you know and 110% who knows you

On a serious note, I'd be all over that if I had the time. I'd even become an instant Baretta fanboy. Good luck, I hope it works out well.

I like to think and hope that people get what they deserve. and if you work hard and are smart with your job, you will be noticed. This goes for any job anywhere! Except for Union jobs
