Mrs. C.: Go ahead and take it, I don't carry it.
Me: Thanks Mrs.
Mrs. C.: You know that means your 1911 is mine now.

My only recourse is to dig up my old worn out recoil spring, install it, happily hand it over and pray that it FTF enough that she buys her own so I can get mine back.

Remember the Tenth Commandment. "Thou shalt not covet....." By breaking this commandment, you have sinned. Your penance is that your wife now gets your 1911. There's only one way to get it back. Buy a new 1991 and trade her for yours.

I'm working on it.

Maybe replace the basement door with one of these.

At a friends house down stairs, you walk down the hallway and you see exactly that, a vault door. He did this when he built, 6 sides of concrete and steel room that doubles as a storm shelter.

That is the coolest thing I have seen today. I want one of them.

I'd be more tempted to ask for it attached to a 'normal' vault that is the 'entrance' - say in a closet. Stuck into the wall it kinda stands out a little...

The Rodentwoman is an expert reloader as well. Today she saw me struggling resizing a case and she said, "I've told you a thousand times, if you don't know what you're doing, don't do it harder!"

Me: I bought a new gun today.
ex-wife: I'm going to the jewelry store.

Me: I bought a new gun today
Girlfriend: Can I shoot it?

Maybe I shouldn't get re-married.

I tell The Rodentwoman that my guns are like my tattoos. They've always been there.

I finally determined how to answer the question I often get, "What's with all the squirrel tattoos?" I tell people they are hereditary; they should have seen all the tattoos my parents had.

What's the real reason though?
To the two forum members who have used lines from my posts as their signatures, can't you quote Jesse Ventura or some other great Minnesotan instead of stealing mine? - LePetomane
