On posting it, I had to update my Adobe for some reason....

So here is the problem; the file is too big. Is there a way to split a PDF or else I will email it out to everyone.

Bout time. You must be in the army. Sitting on important information and not giving it to the troops. "Shut up its for your own good!"

After I get the information I get 1/3 of the time before the mission to plan and the troops get 2/3. Or something like that, I wasn't really paying attention.

Holy Chit! Ramsey has a 13.5% denial rate!!! Must be some bad, bad folks in that county.

Even Hennepin only had a 3.3% denial rate.

I was looking at that. Most of them are for danger to self and others. Most of the appeals were denied. There must be something in the water.

Ramsey is also EXTREMELY inefficient in processing permits. While most counties show a surplus, Ramsey is spending twice as much as they take in. When you add wages and benefits, they're spending $129,000. That's what...about 2.0 full time equivalents? So two people processing 643 permit apps comes to about 1.23 permits per 8 hour shift, or 6.5 hours per permit. I suppose when you consider how hard they look for reasons to deny, you could expect that sort of effort.

It looks like the fine folks in Ramsey should look at a change at the top in order to get a more efficient Sheriff's office. Just my observation.

And then you have Lake County which spent almost 3 times the amount they took in. They didn't claim any labor, but they did claim $4500 in furniture. All to process 26 permits.

The denials explanation report has some interesting things in it.

County: Anoka
Reason: False representation as a FBI agent at time of application
Appealed: No Issued: No

County: Hennepin
Reason: Made threats regarding killing people with his gun - removed firearm from his residence
Appealed: YES Issued: YES
