More interesting stuff...

Of the 16 total cases of "Carrying under the influence", SIX of those specifically did NOT involved a firearm. How the hell....?

And in St. Louis County we find that Ms. Haydon had her permit revoked for being admitted for psych evaluation. I'd be a little pissed off off if my name were listed like that.

And in from the Ramsey County Department of Redundancy Department of Ramsey County we have multiple case of applicants being denied for being a "Danger to Self or Others", the factual basis of such a denial being that the applicant is a "Danger to Self or Others". Many of those denied did appeal, however most of those appeals were denied because, after all, they were a "Danger to Self or Others". Compare that with the specifics every other Sheriff provided.

It's crystal clear that Fletcher is abusing his power.

Can't you entirely bypass Ramsey county by simply getting a Utah or Florida permit? If I remember right they both allow you to carry here. In fact isn't it cheaper to do it through Utah anyway? I think I'd enjoy sticking it in his craw by writing him and thanking him for denying the permit so you could get a better permit that lets you carry here and many other states, including Ramsey county.

Andrew, want to share some of Mr Fletchers misdeeds....................apart from the obvious.

Look at the last 3 pages, they're used for the reporting...........BCA is now on record for saying permits are $100......wtf

Maybe we should gather all of these discrepancies in the report together and see if we can get some of them fixed and updated

Some how one would believe that Sheriff Fletcheris not the one doing any investigating :o I think he is just a person who signs the applications after they have been processed by others :o

People should be happy Finney, never made it to sheriff as he would make Fletcher look like a Girlscout.

Read the past reports......Fletcher has been way over budget since being given free money.

They also have not published total on hand funds as required by 624.714

Interesting, Dakota Co. took in over $75k in fees and spent $21k for a surplus of over $54k.

So I guess that means my renewal will cost less than $100?

Somehow I don't think I should hold my breath.

Pretty much guaranteed, actually. Renewals, by law, cannot exceed $75. :)

Doesn't the law state that the Sheriff's department can't charge more than their actual cost?

$21k/750 permits = $28 per permit.

Sure, but who's going to convince them that they need to follow this law?

I got a kick out of the report being dated March 1. I suppose they could have had the cover page done by then...

Number of lawful and justifiable use of firearms by permit holders: __0__

So, according to Kleck, there are aproximately 2.5 million DGU's per year and not one of them occured in MN in 2007. That's pretty amazing.

He does say that the vast majority go unreported.

Wait didn't we have a member on this board who was downtown Mpls that put his hand on his pistol and the situation got much better for him?
