I've explained my reasons for the 50GI before, and 50% of it was getting a gun that would take Crimson Trace lasergrips. EAA 10mm's wont. The other half was principally intimidation and stopping power, and as I have said before if Elmer Keith were alive today, he'd own one and carry it too. That's good enough for me.

And my puny rifle is just a .338 Remington Ultramag, and not a .338 Edge. On my pension, I'll never own a .408 Cheytac or a Barrett M82. And frankly, even if I had the money I wouldn't. Just too far afield for me.
