Same issue with I am pretty sure same model on my last range duty day at Oakdale. We emptied the mag after we cleared it and reinserted it both ways. It was amazing how easy it inserted backwards.

Yup - considering the fact that the 9mm is a TAPERED case (unlike a 40 or 45) shoving it in backwards would really jam in in the chamber good and hard. It's .345" wooden dowel time, provided you can field stip the gun.

You wouldn't have any fear of setting off the round while pounding on the end of it with a dowel?

I would do it with a piece of pipe that had the end taped with electrical tape.

One of the tricky aspects is that this is one of those guns that can't (I don't think) be taken apart unless it is in battery and the trigger pulled. Then you can bull down on these two takedown buttons on the sides of the frame, and slide the slide off. This is how my walther is, and this gun looked the same. I think you will have to clear this one with the gun assembled.

Yes, well good luck getting a 9mm - .010" piece of pipe unless you can make it up on your own lathe. Dimpling a wooden dowel will work just as well, and it's a hell of a lot easier to find. Primers are supposed to be recessed a few mils so that they DON'T fire when they smack the breechblock when the gun fires. Not a hell of a lot of difference between a wooden dowel with no dimple smacking the case head and the action slamming it back up against the steel breechface.

And I agree, unless you can line up the disassembly markers to strip the gun, you're going to have to punch that round out of there with the gun assembled. With an EAA with that kind of open action, there would be no way you could take it down.

Interesting....I didn't think it was possible to insert a magazine backwards in ANY pistol. Guess I haven't seen every model out there...
