Well, if you figure that everyone looks the same with the lights out, you can really stretch that $100.
My dumb idea was to go with a flower power theme and weld on metal to make the barrel look like a flower stem. It would be funny for the contest but I'd feel really weird about bringing it anywhere afterwards.

Reminds me of a story an old biker told me in a bar once. He went to Mexico and got drunk, got laid, and got a tattoo for $20.... and the tattoo was $15.
