my only holsters are OWB holsters. that doesn't mean i don't conceal. usually i have a flannel or something similarily covering that drapes over my 1911. yes, a full size 1911.

It goes good with your pink tutu and high heels.

Yeah!! If you CCW at the Gopher, George the owner is liable to make a comment about Jo Mammy, Obammy, and the sum of Fiffy cents! Or he'll just call you a fag....

You can draw a lot quicker if you're open carrying.

Feeling macho and showing off your piece to everyone is more than enough reason to open carry. ;)

It is difficult to conceal a DE with a 10" barrel or a Smith 500 with an 8.375" barrel. I try, but sometimes the muzzle drags on the ground and that's pretty much a give away.

I do both. It all depends on what I'm doing or where I am. The choice is yours.

In my neck of the woods, I see no reason to open carry at the local Cub other than making a political statement. Often, that side of the argument is something like "if you don't use your rights, you'll lose them". I believe that open carrying is actually counterproductive to the cause. It just tends to get the general citizenry all upset. Concealed carry means concealed. IMHO, do the rest of us a favor and conceal it.

I pocket carry an LCR in my parka pocket (parka pocket, that's fun to say) . 90% of the time I already have a grip on it. Sometimes conceal can be faster. Most of the time, probably not.
I love it when a plan comes together!

Truhfully, only place I really OC is the Gopher, and that's if there's less than half a dozen people in the place. You never know what may come through the door in that place, and I would prefer that the first thing they see is a large troll on a bar stool looking over his shoulder at them with a big chunk of black iron on his right hip. Other than that, I'm not up for putting up with the histrionics of white liberals (particularly little old ladies who have been mean and spiteful for the last 40 years of their life) just to make a point. Plus I'm paranoid, so I'd worry too much about somebody grabbing my gun.

The only place I would open carry is in the woods so bears know not to mess with me. Also might get a faster draw.

One very important reason:
Because I can.

As gun owners we need to stand up for all gun rights, regardless what our preferences are - if we can't stand up for them, who will?

I carry how I feel like carrying at the time and enjoy the ability to do so, so please don't screw it up for me. I usually carry concealed, however I like not having to worry about printing or my gun accidentally showing when I reach to the top shelf at the store.

Along with the stories of open carriers becoming a target, there are several reports that open carry has deterred crime, concealed carry has deterred 0.

If divided we stand, united we'll fall.

Personally, I CC mostly because I don't care to hear other people's opinions.
