Yep. Coon Rapids Blvd and Xavis. It is a decent little dive bar. Good food and cheap drinks. Mondays is $5 burgers, Tuesday nights is all you can eat ribs from 4-8. I foget what the other nightly specials are. I do know that the meat raffle is Thursday nights at 530 or 6. Good people there. I always carry IWB just to avoid attention. Will be there tomorrow night for the meat raffle if anyone wants to meet up for a burger and try to win a 5lb package of ribs. Let me know.
Wrap that around your overly muscled left wing and row your dinghy in counterclockwise circles as a result.

About 45 seconds from my employer, Mercy. Which is a very anti gun establishment...and that parking lot is kinda dark at night. Although I know plenty of nurses that would like to carry as well. I also know a few anti's, and they're fun to debate with. They always go for the emotional card "we tried to save the life of a 5y/o that was shot by his 4y/o brother with their father's handgun". I try to point out that this is the father's fault for not securing his weapons, making them off limits unless he was present to ensure safety etc. Then they try with the "We had a lady who was brutely raped and murdered at gun point" to which I simply reply "AND? Ban all the guns in the world, that will still happen, as criminals don't believe in following the law, that's why they're criminals!"
1911 Fan quote in memoirium about carrying:
The purpose of a firearm in a defensive situation is to make the other guy leak from holes he was not born with. Your job is to install those orifices for him.

I like to give the analogy of weed in this case (at least before it started becoming decriminalized). Ask "have you ever seen or used weed"? How the hell can that happen when it is COMPLETELY ILLEGAL? Why will making guns illegal be any different, except for changing what type of people have them?

About the only problem I have at the Gopher is walking in the door and if George is still there, having George shout out so loud half the bar can hear: Hey! Are you EFFEN locked and loaded?? Obviously, saying "no" is not an option unless you want to get labeled as Ru Paul's boyfriend...

Weed? What's that... I don't know anything about the stuff...
