I already know people who no longer hunt because of too many regulations and bad experiences with CO's. I only bird hunt and my last contact with a CO was
not a good one. He was not polite and was trying to be intimidating .He was a young guy. I was laughing in my head at the tough guy act!
He didn't ticket me ! But his demeanor was not necessary .

I too agree they really should not be legally stealing private property! Fines are one thing. But stealing your car or truck or a boat .
If you didn't have things of high value worth taking. It would become like a lot of other crime's. NO money = not worth the government's time to go after you!

On a side note. It looks like they have a few nice rifles, if you could get them at a reasonable price.

I'm sure that FN FAL will sell for way below blue book.

You also have to pay the government money to hunt wild game which is somewhat ironic.

I got no problem paying a license fee to hunt public land. But to hunt my own property which I pay tax's on sucks .

Farmers have a more dangerous profession, and they're "out in the middle of nowhere" too: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/Careers/01/0 ... index.html

Well it seems you need to read the DNR handbook and understand that by taking game illegally you are opening yourself up to have your weapons, atv's, and other equipment confiscated!

Another over the top and ill informed post from you. Just what MNGT needs, another troll.

Did I mention that I don't think I will drive the 100+ miles to attend?

If I still want a 20 ga. pump, I will just go to the local Gander Mountain to save on the overall cost verse the money I would spent on gas in my Tahoe.

Just what the world needs, another idiot who can't understand simple principles of non aggression and that government is force.

No trolling here, just a principled libertarian.

I reject your radical assumption, I've never hunted. I just don't support victimless laws or the thievery done by the State. If I came to your house and stole your TV and sold it I'd be guilty as would the person I sold it to...unless I was wearing a badge.
If you have never hunted, I would say your knowlege of the subject is limited at best. Breaking rules have consequences out here in the real world. It is hard to conceive in any scenario other than an atempt to Troll Internetically, that you don't understand that concept. Another unbridaled "liberatarian" loose on the world.

BTW - I have also heard that the DNR auctions are difficult to get a deal - the firearms and bow auctions anyway. I have had some friends of mine purchase surplus and confiscated Canoes, Paddles and such from DNR and Forestry sales and did OK with that stuff. Like anything else, you have to go in knowing the prices.
Damn those "unbridaled 'libertarians'," they're everywhere, I tell you!!

As another one, I think his point was that all too often, whether or not any law is actually broken, confiscated property is entirely impossible to get back. And that is wrong.

Or that just because a bureaucrat puts words on paper that it does not constitute a JUST law. No victim, no crime.

Are you saying that just because some unelected thug in a suit gives you a blessing in exchange for a bribe (ie license fees) that hunting is any different?

Whats the difference between hunting and poaching? Whether or not you have paid off the State.

Well, poachers also hunt on private land, where they don't even ask the landowners....but I am sure you have something to say about that as well. Not a big deal I suppose?

Can you answer the simple question if the poached animals are victims or not? it sounds like you are saying they are not victims. They are just animals? Right? Do whatever you want to them, as they are just animals? Is that how you think? I am just trying to get a baseline on you...
