Thanks Joe, TTS and everyone - appreciate the info and effort .. i never really gave thought to melting points so I'd say I learned something today!
Ill keep it in my mind as I continue my search for a 22 pistol - the Ruger SR22 is at the top of my list right now - (and i can confidently say its polymer!)
