cold bore shooting range??

Postby arizona98tj on Mon Jun 25, 2012 4:27 pm

So I was out in the woods this past Saturday, marking a fence line, with my brother-in-law. When we wrapped it up and headed home, I saw a small sign with something along the likes of "Cold Bore Firearms Shooting Range". It was located adjacent to the Hubbard - Beltrami county line (Beltrami side), about 1 mile south of where the road to Becida (I think that is Beltrami Country Rd 7) intersects the county line.

Anyone know anything about it? We didn't have time to go back and check it out. My brother-in-law said it had been there for a while.

It's private property.

Yup it's what Tman said. The sign was put up some time ago when land in the area was going up for sale, so that if anyone who was going to buy the land would know for sure that the range was there and was before them.

Because people you know sometimes have that urge to move next to a Airport/Drag Strip/Gun Range/Strip Club/what have you and bitch about it despite knowing full well it has been there, always been and will for any conceivable future :x

Thanks. I own 80 acres a mile south of there and was just curious.

The Cold Bore Training Facility is my family's private range. Like the poster above noted, we put the sign up to alert any new potential neighbors that there is an active shooting range nearby.

The range is open to invite only. Most of us are combat veterans and/or LEO and don't care to shoot around muzzle sweepers. However, we do occasionally invite people to join us if they prove to be competent. We do a yearly "Blue Helmet Shoot" and occasional impromptu classes.
