really? that's cool! i haven't been able to get a full 100 rd box of 45acp to run through my 1911 without issue, and those were NEW boxes

Doesnt sound like a gun to bet your life on... WWB while not the best in the world, certainly isnt the worst.

Long as what does work doesnt run short in supply for ya, no worries i spose. Kinda figure wwb is the standard for most folks' measuring reliability standards.

Hate to be that guy. Isn't it possible the problem could be that it is a 1911? ive only ever shot Glocks. so i wont knock 1911's until i shoot one. They are more visually appealing than Glocks are.

but wait.... isn't that what you just did? :hmm:

And no, you don't hate to be that guy. I'm sure you took great pride in typing that post. ;)

My 1911 wouldn't have any issues with it.... but then again, unlike kwikie's SIG, it is a 1911.

Are you on crack?!? I've been with you how many times shooting your "1911 shaped object" with the only problem being it has a FTF/FTE on the 9th round with regularity ;).

You just know its all because of that external extractor. Eff with JMB and reap the rewards.

The slide profile is off too, kwikie's is definitely a Sig.

yes, Strad, my 1911 is just as much 1911 as yours! dink.

and the issues i had were mainly that it'd get grimey and gritty with WWB. never had a jam with the gun, just that it doesn't like the WWB. and yes, i trust my my gun with my life, i just don't put any Winchester ammo in it anymore. haven't tried the Ranger stuff yet, but the WWB is GARBAGE. Federal Premium is good, MagTech is better than WWB, and the defensive loads i've tried (Hornady's TAP, FTX and Zombie Max; Federal Hydrashock and HST, Speer GoldDot, Remington Golden Saber, etc) all shoot GREAT! +P loads are better than the others.

i've also noticed more inconsistencies with WWB than others. rounds being seated too deep, and i've seen a couple squibs from them as well. i contacted Winchester with batch numbers for the boxes that had rounds seated too far, and their CS reps treated me like they didn't need my business. so i'll take it elsewhere.

and, Strad, JMB didn't use a bull barrel either ;)
