That would explain the extra antenna and the flashing red light on the dash!? :o On a topic related note I am happy to hear that they have a plan to be reopened as a gun shop. I hope the city does not jerk them arround about opening a firearm related business, thought I heard Minnetonka was trying to make life difficult not all that long ago. Ya know I used to get excited about finding new bars and shake shake joints... now I get excited about GUN SHOPS :D even though I am sure not much will change its still gonna be fun to have a new name on the door.

Made my first trip to Gunstop Today,,needed to pick up some re-loading Dies for 223 and 308 for a Reloading lesson and Purchase Tommorrow asked the Slim Grey haired gentlemen behind the Counter what I needed,, for Sure ..and Then If he thought I needed anything else ,after looking over my list he headed off and came back with 2 sets of dies and a couple other Items and said this is all you need ,, some where down the road you,ll need a case trimmer and that will run you anywhere from 20.00 to a 100.00,,,I asked why such a swing in price and his reply was that case trimming is a Pain in the ass and nobody likes doing it ,the price difference just make the job a little more tolerable,,,I really liked the guys straight answers and the fact that he didn,t send me out the door with some useless crap,,,needless to say I,ll go back there when I,m in need of more re-loading equipment

That guy is John. He is a phenomenal asset to have to any reloader regardless of experience.

Cannot count the number of times he has saved me time, money or my safety.

Well I was in there yesterday and got a very good deal on a new 1911 (thats a whole nother thread though.) Larry seemed very pessimistic about gunstop being reborn and made a comment or two about all deals being canceled...

BUT today I see a thread about a move to EP so who knows at this point....

Has anyone found out if they're going to be having any sales or discounts on guns?

You're late. They knock of 10% on most guns. Not much left.

Got a great deal a Charles Daly hi-power last week. They still have a pretty good selection, lots of very nice/high end 1911's. I didn't look at the long guns, but there are still plenty in the racks.

So has anyone been in lately to visist John? I'm wondering what it looks like over on the firearm side. I assume all inventory has been removed and it went to auction somewhere.

It looks empty...
