This is beginning to look a lot like the 5 page overreaction thread about Best Buy....

Well...

If she thinks it takes 10,000 rounds to make a crime/criminal I see two points:

1. Many of us are well under this idiots radar.

2. If/when she uses her brain like the rest of us and realizes even one bullet can change history, her head will likely implode and we wont have to read her garbage anymore.

They can ask all they want, I'm doing nothing illegal.
That said, I bought a S&W M&P .22 at Joe's just to see it at the Gunstop for about 170 less (both new and at Bud's guns for 200 less).
My own fault, should have done my homework, but I'm not spending 1 more penny at Joe's.

I missed that one, but I'm glad I'm not alone in overreaction.

BTW - About an hour after I posted, I actually got a reply from Maya, which was a great surprise to me. the first part about the bullets is hysterically funny...   :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

Subject: Ammunition article

Sam, I initially wrote ammunition but that term was changed to bullet by an editor.
That aside, the other points you mentioned were all made in the article. Did you read it?

The editor changed it?? Now that's funny! Dilbert is alive and well at the Strib.
I read the article, and I still feel the fundamental premise is a huge red herring that can be trotted out and printed because it's about anonymous gun owners rather than some other minority who are off limits to similar analysis.
Thank you for your reply, and I certainly wasn't expecting a response under any circumstances.

Sincerely,

IMO that's a slightly more legitimate reason not to do business with a company. Granted like you said it was your fault for not doing your homework, so from your statement it's more on you then the company. Not saying but I'm saying.

I don't go there, but not because I am boycotting them. Because its a long ways from my house. I think boycotting them because they reserve the right to ask questions if something seems wrong is stupid. Now if they refused to sell more than 500 rounds to everyone, then fine. I would agree. Until then...

Its a private buisiness right? Well, they can reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. I won't boycott a buisiness for exercising their American rights. If I disagree with their operating ways/values, I won't do buisiness with them, but won't call for a full on boycott, either (disclaimer: any buisiness that calls for terroristic attacks or promotes terrorists, I will call for a boycott, but that's a different situation all together).
