It's a little like 'free beer tomorrow'.

LONG LONG LONG LONG LONG can mean "No end in sight" too...right? 8-)

I was trying to quench a thirst for a Baer Stinger and brought home that STI Guardian out of the used case. It didn't work. (gun worked/didn't quench anything)
Sometimes I wish I hadn't shot a 1911 to begin with.

There's days I wish dad never laid that first spark to me shooting. Yeah I blame him, so what if I have daddy issues (not that kind sickos, besides to ugly to be working a pole).

Guns/Collections

I've consolidated calibers and stayed mainstream in doing so. For pistols, they are all 9x19 or 45 acp. The only exception is an LCP. Most are 1911s. For rifles, I've stayed with 5.56 and 7.62 NATO calibers. The consolidation has made ammo production and purchase easier.

Oh, and then there are shotguns and rimfires. Shotties are 12 or 20 and rims are 22lr.

Every gun I own has a purpose. It's utilitarian and how I like it.

I have developed an interest in military surplus rifles in the last year or so. I currently have a Russian M44 and a RC K98 (1940 ERMA date code).

I would like to acquire the following still: RC K98 (JP Sauer date code), Luger P08 (matching), M91/30, and an original Russian SKS.
Other interests include the HK 9x series, but I don't have the money for anything at the moment.

This story is probably "Gun Porn" for people - (kind of like whenever someone gets a new gun and posts a photo of it for all to see is) --- Anyway, I was at my aunt's 95th birthday party tonight and I was speaking with my brother-in-law who has a Colot 1911 .45ACP from WWII as well as 2 P-08 Lugers from the same war. (Apparently he had 8 Lugers but now is down to only 2). One of the Lugers he said is a "Black Widow" because it apparently has black grips on it (plus whatever else makes it a BW, I don't know). He said if he has an original magazine for it, that'd bump the value up by $2,000 and if he has 2 magazines for it, it'd bump it up around another $5,00. He said the Lugers range in price and value to where some are only a few hundred bucks to where others are valued in the thousands. Does all of that sound correct? Anyone heard of a Black Window Luger?

...and no, he is NOT interested in selling them to anyone (I didn't even ask)..... but he will let me fire them, so that's cool.
