Arnzen Arms - OPEN!!!

Postby V Man on Thu Nov 08, 2012 6:22 am

I was in again yesterday and spoke to Mike about optics for my AR. The great thing about Mike was he was man enough to admit it wasn't his area of expertise and got someone else over to help. I'm glad that he didn't try to BS me and I respect the fact that he got someone else to answer my questions.

If they needed someone to only work weekends I would be all over it (when I'm not working for ThunderJohn).

Stopped in yesterday as well, very nice place, and a great location. Selection was good especially for just having opened. Employees were friendly as was Gin.

Our goal is that every one who comes into the store thinks of it as their gun store. We have been open less then a week and I already feel like we have been adopted by the local community. :D

I have to step up to the plate and give props to Arnzen Arms. I didn't even know it existed before I stumbled upon it yesterday while looking for an FFL transfer (outbound). It is the most beautiful retail storefront you'll find. Brightly lit. Very Roomy. Dan went way out of his way to help me out. I can't say enough good about the place and the staff...in my neighborhood no less! I can't friggin' believe it. I really hope they have great success. C'mon guys go and check em out.

Thanks! I appreciate you giving such great feedback before finding out if I followed through with shipping the item (I shipped it this morning btw 8-) ). I keep telling people that I see our store as being about "community service." Glad I could help you out.

We got a bunch more PMags today, they should be on the shelf tomorrow. Thanks for buying so many! I keep thinking "this is way too many PMags" and then they disappear. :o

Have you determined what you are going to charge for transfers?

Well, I'm hoping that after my exit interview next Friday at 2pm, they'll let me go vs. working the end of the day and I can go check AA out before hitting the range. (Exit Interviews are a complete waste of time... but that's another post)

Just a weird thought.. since Arnzen Arms' initials would be "AA", if a bonch of us all got together for a meet and greet at the store to drink coffee and discuss guns, could that be considered an "AA Meeting"? Some people are "Arms Addicted" :)

Can you see the 12 steps?

1) get your PTP
2) go to the range.
3) get training...and more training continually
4) get your PTC
5) buy more guns
6) learn to reload and buy the tools, supplies, etc
7) reload often
8) scavenge brass anywhere you can
9) join a gun club and/or leauge along with the NRA, GOCRA, and other 2A organizations
10) work on getting your FFL so you can "stock" autos and silencers
11) repeat steps 2,3,5,7,8 and 9 as often as you can
12) get the wife to shoot and like it

I am on step 3, completed steps 4 and 8.

Sorry, I have to disagree with your order. You need to do number 12 FIRST, the other steps are much less stressful after that.

I got the opportunity to stop in last week. Didn't have anything on the list at the time but I rarely get to that area and had to check it out. Nice folks, good conversation, reasonable prices. Definitely worth a look for the SW folks that haven't stopped in yet.
