Anyone have experience with these?

Any suggestions on barrel length? I was thinking 20" but I can't find a mag extension or replacement magazine.

Halo arrived this morning for my 870 project, nicer than other ATI tin and plastic models. Nice looking unit worth the $54. ree shipping included.

I'm not sure whether to nudge you to cerakote the thing, or to hand you a knife so you can etch "Shotty McNasty" into the side of the receiver.

Qualcorp: I did look at the halo heat shield, good to hear something favorable. I have about $120 into it at this point so a NICS heat shield couldn't hurt.

Plink: I like the " Shotty McNasty" idea as well as the cerakote. I'll check it out more.

Since it's either going to live in a closet or a truck, why not just patch it up with cold blue and call it a day?

You can buy a longer mag tube and matching barrel from brownells. I love those old Mossys. I picked one up last year from a pawn shop for $85. Cut the vent rib barrel down to 18 1/4" I t now lives in an old Sawsall box in the truck.

Agreed, or the spray-on truck bed liner in a can you can pick up at any hardware store, looks like the original finish is already roughed up and ready for some paint. :)

I thought about it but the reciever is alloy so it won't blue. It will see plenty of use since I play with all my toys as often aa possible so they don't get lonely.

We use the M500 in the Navy, for a reason.
