Cheaper Membership to NRA?

Gun related chat that doesn't fit in another forum

This is 1 1/2 years old. If there is a current relevant thread (which there is) put it there. Otherwise if it's something legit, start a new one.

Is this against the rules? Not really. It's just annoying and I'm sick of listening to people complain about it.

There are already several ongoing discussions and a very specific active thread for NRA membership. The complaints I've been getting are concerned with trying to drum up business and spam the board by necro posting in several quasi related topics and dead threads.

They have a deal now to gift/join/renew for $25 instead of $35:

Ya, I realize this is an old post, But I just joined the NRA yesterday & was charged the full $35.00, not that the $10 means much to me, but I don't like to be taken advantage of, I will be watching what is credited to my card, if it does not reflect the discount, I will be a short timer in the NRA, for once you can believe, it is about the principle not the money.

Paul, I owe you and the forum an apology; I hadn't foreseen the impact on the forum as spamming and wouldn't have done it if I'd thought it would come out that way. I am sorry, sir. That went terribly wrong and I certainly won't do that, again.

msnden: Were you signed up through a $25 offer but charged $35, anyway?

I had a mis-hap with my membership. A three minute phone call to customer care got everything taken care of.

I don't know, I thought the price was $35, but I could be wrong, the e-mail receipt I received says $35, but that may be corrected when they process my bill. I did hear on the news tonight that the NRA membership has been increasing by 8,000 members a day since the Newtown disaster (per the Bill O'Reilly show)
