I've been trying to assist a perfectly legal friend in getting his hands on his dream AR for a while. We were going to do an assembly party and build it out as a learning experience for him. So I ordered 2 lowers - one for me, one for him. Then he flaked and said he wouldn't have the money for several months. Now I have surplus, and the market jizz-bombed in sellers favor. Out the door she goes!

It is shipping to a FFL too, so technically I'm not transferring a firearm to a private party.

I did hoard 4 extra LPK's when I saw they were still available last weekend on PSA's site. I'll be selling those for a tidy profit.

And I'm fine with this. I don't agree with people clearing out the shelves of freshly opened gun stores(which will have a hard time replacing those weapons) just to make a few bucks on the panic.

Don't feel bad for the owner of a gun store when someone comes in and buys all of their product. From the owners point of view, thats sort of the point of opening their doors.

All gun stores now have inventory replenishment problems. They all face the same difficulty, whether its the result of ringing up one receipt for 100 items or 100 receipts for 1 item.

The person buying the gun from the store didn't force the store owner to sell at a lower than market price.

look at Bills and Dave at DK Mags

Bill's reacted to the environment and modestly raised their prices. $139 for a stripped RRA lower and $119 for a Delaware lower.

Dave at DK Mags was selling Century Arms lowers yesterday for $379.

Which is right? Both. They chose their price point and chose to sell at a price. I like Bills, I like Dave. Both are free to run their business as they see fit.

What their customers do with that product after the sale is up to them.
