I'm waiting for this to land at Arnzen Arms so they can do the transfer.
I'm VERY EXCITED. Hopefully it ships today. The USPS tells me, he got my $ last night. :D :D :D

"Perfect" 1911 would be made in U.S., forged frame, "full" beavertail, no firing-pin-block "safety", internal extractor, and no front slide-serrations ... with a lifetime warranty!

No one makes it! :|

The Colt Talo Wiley Clapp Gov't model is pretty darn close to what you describe. The one I saw made me drool a bit.

Yep ... that looks to be a good one! ... as is, the Commander! ... but, I'm guessin', $1,500+?!

Fer that kinda money, ya can purdy much get what ya want! ... case in point, I bought a late-model 70-Series (mil-spec) Colt fer $800, and paid Ahlman's 'nother $700 to fit a beavertail, 'n such ... and ended up with basically a 70-Series "Special Combat", but with an arched MSH! ... hmmm ... got a pic of it 'round here, somewhere! ...

... ah! ... here we go! ...

Image

I bought two ... the other one's more 'er less "stock"! Image

WHOAH rugersol!! Those are mighty fine indeed! The top one is pretty much my definition of the perfect 1911(aesthetically speaking). Love it.

Here's a Colt, a Les Baer and a Springfield Pro. The Colt is 'graceful and classy to me'.

Rugersol I've got a little problem with 1911's.
That has to STOP. I need a meeting or something.

If you ever want to go shooting, let me know.

10-4! ... you 'n me, both!

If it weren't so cold, I'd be shootin' the winter league at BESA, again! Is Wrench a member? ... drop me a line if ya go some weekend ... I'm jest up the street! 8-)

At the very least, ya'll hafta be sure to make the 3rd Annual MNGT 1911 Shoot/BS/Dinner, this year! (usually April-ish ... IIRC)

No offense to Vlad ... and thanks fer hosting the 2nd Annual deal! ... but I think closer in to the metro might draw a better crowd?! :? ... I'll harass Westberg ... I think he's got an "in" at FLSC! ;)

No longer a member at BESA. She is shooting in the winter league though. It starts this Sat.
I haven't shot in it. I worked outside too many years in the cold and my hands suffer.
Wrench said she will email you the winter league link if you want it.

The 1911 shoot sounds like fun.

If you live near there, do you happen to fish Bald Eagle Lake?
I've had good luck on that lake but have only been there twice.
