Let's rack it up.

1) Makes a video threatening to "start shooting people" if someone comes to take his guns.

2) Lost his PTC permit (Suspended, but let's face it, that's just procedural at htis point. You REALLY think this nutjob is getting it back? No.) When, not IF, he goes off the even-deeper end and pops a cap in someone, the state would be held liable on this one I think.

3) The state also said Tactical Response is not a department-certified school, as mentioned above.

4) Comes across all hard in video part 1 where he starts this mess, in part 2, he says he stands by his previous words, but re-edits those words out of part 1 = hypocrite. Now in part 3, he has a LAWYER with him while he's NOT wearing one of his shirts, tattoos are mostly covered, not pimping his gear or training, and he is at least portraying a different attitude, but he's just covering it up.

5) Need I go on?

THIS guy is a PERFECT example of what the antis think of us, see us as, and the general public is who is spoon fed the pablum of mass media would see this and be very afraid.

THIS guy is ALSO a PERFECT example of something I preach (Yes, I don't just post about it, I admit it, I get on the effen soapbox and preach about it...so I'll call a spade a spade...and I'm a spade on this one.....), He is the PERFECT example of one of us (aka someone in the gun culture community) being our own worst enemy.

My word...

I think that all of these videos need to be shown at every PTC and Basic Pistol Class for what NOT to do.

I think that if you really need to tell someone not to be this turd, it may already be too late for them.

I think this is a perfect example of a human being human.

We all make mistakes and deal with the consequences. But we have to remember that all of us also make mistakes. I can say with a great deal of certainty that everyone on this forum has said something they don't mean. The reason behind it doesn't matter. We said something we didn't mean and hopefully made up for it.

In the end we will all make mistakes. The important thing is to learn from them. JY has his interpretation of the constitution as does everyone else in the world.

Humans being humans is the perfect example of why the constitution needs to be followed.

*Please note that this is not me making an excuse for JY or even me giving my opinion on him. This is me giving my opinion on the situation.*

Sadly, you are most likely right.

Hopefully some people will learn and see the error of their ways, but that requires an open mind....which it appears to me that someone like JY does not have nor care about.

I tend to be optimistic and hope.

Of course, we all do it. It's a select few who make the mistake of doing it in front of thousands of people.

Seriously, he isn't new to youtube. He isn't new to blasting his opinion out there to the world. He screwed up a LOT bigger than if I has said that to a few buddies. He is screwing our image to the public becuase he is public, and has a lot of viewers.

Good idea.

Maybe we need to print up some JY targets?

We can direct energy downrange at a few hundred fps.

Everyone acting surprised by what James said should be embarrassed to admit it. What he said should be felt, said and expected by everyone of you touting the Constitution and by any and every patriot in the country. You are Patriots aren't you? You do say you believe in the 2nd Amendment don't you? When? When it doesn't cost you anything to say it? Our founding fathers would have said it and what's more? They would have meant it! They would have readied their arms by now and history proves it. At what point would you have backed up your talk about being Patriots? You call him a blowhard? I call you unpatriotic! How many here are prior servicemen? Did you swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution? Was that an empty promise like the one our President swore to? I am embarrassed for myself for not speaking up sooner and will admit to you who are my country men it was out of fear. I was embarrassed and you should be too! James said somethings he might have worded differently. It doesn't matter, I knew what he meant and I believe everyone here did as well. He was speaking up in defense of his 2nd amendment right and they trampled upon his 1st amendment right. Will we fight for the rights of our children and grand children as our forefathers fought for ours? Or are we a nation of cowards?

Ok. You opened the can 'o worms, here it is from my point of view......

I'll address each line and hope you will respond in kind vs. ignoring points like some others have done on here when I've replied in this way.

Everyone acting surprised by what James said should be embarrassed to admit it.
I'm not surprised what he said... I'm surprised that he uploaded it to YouTube and for someone so Gun(g) Ho, he sure did a OND (Orally Negligent Discharge) by basically shooting himself and the gun culture community at large in the proverbial foot while doing so.

What he said should be felt, said and expected by everyone of you touting the Constitution and by any and every patriot in the country.
I would never presume to tell anyone what they "should" feel, think, or say. Last time I checked, each individual still had that right. It is unpatriotic to presume to tell others what to think, say, or do with their own lives - regardless of the Constitution - because THAT is much bigger than any document or country because THAT is a HUMAN right.

You are Patriots aren't you?
That word can be spun a thousand different ways, so I tread carefully there because what is patriotic to one, is not so to another. If you mean "Would you put your butt on the line for this country?" Yes. I would. I joined the regular army in 1985. Not the resverse. Not the coasst guard. Full on regular, full time, US Army for artillery.

You do say you believe in the 2nd Amendment don't you?
Of course. In fact, I do so much that I openly carry, which itself has been quite the pot stir stick around this joint. I don't conceal my gun from anyone.

When?
24x7x365 I support 2A.

When it doesn't cost you anything to say it?
It costs me, but I'll pay that price. One place I've received flack for OC is on here. I've had "looks" from people. Carry on. Carry on. When I applied for my current job, I even put down on my application that I have a PTC and carry. My last job was for a defense company and I figured if they are against guns, we may as well find that out right away.

At what point would you have backed up your talk about being Patriots?
When I joined the US Military for starters as noted above...... but it goes to more than just that.

You call him a blowhard?
No, I called him an effen idiot, a moron, and several other names.... but never a blowhard.

I call you unpatriotic!
By who's definition? Yours? Oh please... may I have your blessing so I can qualify as a patrioit under your defenition purty please with sugar on top? WHO the heck are YOU anyway?

How many here are prior servicemen?
*raises hand*

Did you swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution?
I have. Yes.

Was that an empty promise like the one our President swore to?
No. As said above, I was never a "Weekend Warrior" All in or nothing for me.

You are entitled to your opinion, as I am to mine and as everyone else is to theirs. No opinion validates or negates another.

Will we fight for the rights of our children and grand children as our forefathers fought for ours? Or are we a nation of cowards?
"We" WHO exactly? I can only speak for myself and I'm not foolish enough to reveal my hand of cards to the entire World. Don't like it? Too bad.

I didn't bother to read the comments from the last day or so---sorry if this has already been posted:

"Yeager's handgun carry permit was suspended by the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security on Friday."
