As a matter of fact, if I were going to do something like that in case the global warming makes Minnezotah warm enough for zombies to survive in the winter like they do in Florida, I would probably mod my Para P14.45 to 45 Super, and it would essentially be a 15 shot semi-auto 41 mag, using 45 bullets...

The Guncrafter is at AA. I hope to be proceeded soon. They are closed today.
Sam the machining is unlike anything that I've ever seen. I'm not sure that I've even seen a picture of a better slide to frame fit.
The trigger is better than anything that I own, including my Springfield Pro, Baer SRP and Novak Colt. I'm looking forward to comparing guns with you.

I tend to use the china and drink out of the crystal. So hopefully I can bring myself to shoot the hell out of it.

Yes- quite familiar with the slide to frame fit - when I got mine, I racked the slide, and it made a kind of funny sucking sound, which I figured out was the noise of the the vacuum being broken between the oiled slide and rails. Word I had was that each gun has 40 hours of hand labor in it from Alex or Victor Tibbets at the beginning putting the gun together. The good news is that the metallurgy on a Guncrafter is not exactly normal, and the barrels are high tensile rifle steel, and not sure about the slide and frame, so they are built for getting shot a lot and getting carried in a holster a lot. These guns are meant to be worked hard.

well I finally went over to Gunstop...and was ignored for over a 1/2 hour while larry was BSing with obviously a buddy and the other guy was on the phone. Not one acknowledgment of me even being in there....what the hell ?
the inventory was low on 1911's due to the fanatic buying going on, but there was one I was curious about. Colt 1991A1 ? priced at $650. Is it worth a 2nd look ?

Yes it would have been, but I think someone on here bought that gun. I was tempted myself, but found a 70 series the same day.
