Poll on Carrying

Agreed - 100% but will add: "C: when I'm not being patted down by my wife"

I love my wife, but she knows that I refuse to stand idly by and watch her get killed, raped, harmed, her being unable to defend herself, or me being unable to defend her with whatever force is necessary to keep her safe and alive. I couldn't live with myself if I could not defend her because a needed option was taken away from me or otherwise unavailable for me to use. A firearm is not always the best option, but sometimes it is. It's always the last resort with many repercussions in its' use; but today's World is much less safe than in decades past.

If the choice must be made between being armed and not having her, or having her and not being armed, I choose the former over the latter. I cannot watch my loved ones die or be harmed.

If my wife pats me down, she just avoids the firearm. I open carry. I don't hide it from her. If she has a problem with it, that's on her, not me.

I'm guessing "being patted down" may have a different meaning than you're interpreting. ;)

unless of course you had a boating accident and lost all of your guns in the process of the boat capsizing..................I liked them when I had them but now..............I just don't see ever trying to replace them............I know there are many out there in the same situation. Sad really.

Agreed, there should be boat control, those suckers are dangerous. We should have lake control too so that lakes aren't so deep. That way, when my boat does capsize, I can swim to the bottom and get them. Damn shame.

Wait? They made it illegal to carry while sleeping?

90-100%, I will count C as not carrying, but it is still near me.

I am a student in one of this country's fine educational institutions... run by people who sometimes have more degrees than common sense, and since being in that situation I do not carry for a large percentage of my day. But everywhere else I am mostly always armed.

I am carrying unless 1 of 4 places require my attendance.
1)Bed
2)shower
3)work-they told me to throw a chair at the shooter, or coffee-seriously!!
4)government area that prohibits carrying regardless of notification.

Thats it. I dont conceal often, but assume even when you cant see it, its there.

My guess is that 1 in 5 permit holders in MN actually carry AT ALL.

It's quite believable...and I am positive you know more than me about that. I would venture an educated (from verbal conversations off the internet) guess that many people think you need a PTC simply to buy a handgun for home defense.
