I have been reading through the 80% lower thread and noticed that the February 9th date is no longer happening. I have not replied as that date did not work for me, I am doing the Polar Bear plunge that day. If you are pushing the date out I am interested in getting a lower and having an emblem put on the side. If you have extras I would get two as I would Imagine this would be my only chance ever to get the symbol on a lower. I was a Fire Controlman in the U.S.Navy from 1991 to 1997. I think the symbol would be very fitting. I attached a link to a picture of what I am looking for, I understand you do this for a living and know what is possible so let me know what is feasible.

Would like to incorporate around the bottom of the coin "U.S.Navy 1991-1997" I could possible use that as the serial number later on also.

This is a link for a little history.

This is a little better picture of the range finder

If I can get in let me know

This gives the acceptable serial number definition,
http://www.atf.gov/publications/download/p/atf-p-5320-8/atf-p-5320-8-chapter-7.pdf

Section 7.4 The identification of firearms
.
7.4.1 Serial numbers . Each manufacturer of a firearm must legibly identify it by engraving, stamping (impressing), or otherwise conspicuously placing on the firearm’s frame or
receiver an individual serial number not duplicating any serial number placed by the manufacturer on any other firearm.
120
The requirement that the marking be “conspicuously” placed on the firearm means that the marking must be wholly unobstructed from plain view. For firearms manufactured on or after
January 30, 2002, the serial number must be to a minimum depth of .003 inch and in a print size no smaller than 1/16 inch.
7.4.1.1 What is an acceptable serial number?
Alpha characters (letters), for example a name, are not acceptable as a serial number. A proper serial number may contain such characters or letters, but it must have at least one numeric character (number). ATF takes the view that marking “legibly” means using exclusively Roman letters (A, B, C, and so forth) and Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, and so forth).
121
Deviations from this requirement have been found to seriously impair ATF’s ability to trace firearms involved in crime.

I was interested in getting in on this, but JAKL never responded to my post above nor to a PM asking if I could still get in on a lower. If someone knows the answer about whether any are available and how to reserve them yet please let me know.

Hey JAKL, with the change of dates, I am assuming that you had plenty of peeps bow out. If that is in fact what happened, I am in the market for two more. Word is getting around, and others that have heard about this want to get in on it.

So if you have two more not spoken for, lemme know and I'll get another check in the mail for ya.

I'd like to echo this as well. If any slots have opened up, I would love to get in on this.

Dude, if you do that you should engrave your own serial number as "2P-1S"
