Without a doubt. I'm not buying everything I can to stock pile at this point though. I'm buying what I think I'll need for a years worth of USPSA pistol and multi-gun matches, classes and practice.

I've seen plenty of .40 in the stores, but no 9mm or .223. Cabelas had lots of .40 on the shelves saturday.

From bits and pieces I read, its apparent that every caliber has been allocated. The military is first in line, then law enforcement, then citizens.

The grey market prices on ammo have got to be decent for sellers right now where there are buyers with perceived urgency.

I'm just trying to get enough 9mm to break-in two new Kahr CM9's, and its proving to be an entertaining challenge, I can't bear to shoot from the stock I have left right now until I can purchase more. My .22lr plinker has an empty belly right now.

I'm not a crappy hamper.

I haven't been buying to hoard or stock up. I've just been trying to buy enough to replace what I use.

That's the only ammo I will buy if I find it. I have given up on others. I have enough stock to ration myself into reloading. I do still look online out of habbit...but none of today's prices make me want to click buy.

I've been finding myself NOT buying it if I see it, unless it's at pre panic prices. Figured I have enough to wait for prices to settle back down.

I did buy a bulk blazer 9mm pack at FF the other day, then decided I didn't really NEED it. A coworker doesn't have much ammo yet, and I don't have much silver yet, so we traded.

I'm sure the Home Land Security ammo order is a priority.

Call that GUY who runs Homeland security, It might give you a few boxes :D

Unfortunately, it'll be bullets first, with the casings left on the ground.

DHS only knows one way to give out boxes of ammo.

Same. I want to go to the range with my AR and not dip into my emergency supply.

No doubt much of what is making it to the stores is getting picked up by employees (if the store manager does not set strict rules, and let's face it, they currently have an opportunity to provide a perk to employees who probably don't get many and it doesn't cost the manger anything to provide the perk) and their friends. Much of the rest goes to those who where to be and when and have the time to do the driving and waiting. An employee at a certain GM told me that when they put out 9mm, 22lr, "it's a lot the same faces every time"...

This I don't doubt. Hoarders and gun show sellers most likely. :(

Guess I'll have to hit up the 30th gun show and see what prices they are selling it for. Since they are buying it from GW or such at normal prices, I can only imagine what the gun shows are selling for.
