I am now in possession of all the 22LR donations heading to the Boy Scout Troop. Including the ammo I've promised to donate, the total amount they will be receiving is 8,625 rounds. The Scout who is taking on our gun transition box project project and the Troop Leader will be presenting the project to the Minnetonka Game & Fish Club's Board Meeting next Tuesday. I will take that opportunity to present them the donation in appreciation for their dedication and service.

It was a pleasure to personaly meet each of the donators: Gunnar “solidgun”, Pat “photogpat”, Jason "yuppiejr", and Doug “oldmanFCSA”. I look forward to personally meeting Bill “SUBWOFER2” upon his return from his deployment.

The donated ammo was presented to Boy Scout Jacob Pawlowski last Tuesday during the MGFC Board Meeting. Jacob had presented to the Board his Eagle Patch Project to build the gun transition boxes for the 3-gun events. After the Board approved the project, they allowed me to present the donated ammo to him as an appreciation for the Boy Scouts' service to the club, the community, and pursuit of marksmanship and responsible firearm handling. Jacob and his father John where taken by the amount of ammo, over 8,000 rounds of 22lr.

The MGFC Board and General Membership extends their appreciation to the donors. The MGFC has requested the donors' permission to post the donors' names in the upcoming MGFC Newsletter. I will be contacting each donor.

Now that should be national news... GOOD things gun owners / we as a community do.

Update on 22LR Ammo Donation to the Boy Scouts

Absolutely fantastic. I wish I could help out a fellow scout like many others on the forum have done, but unfortunately do not have the funds for donations, just service hours. Glad to see a few members come together to help out fellow scouts.

I received the below message:

    Jomar

If you have the names and addresses if those that donated the 22 shells could you please send them to me? The boys had their camp out this weekend and had a great time. They made survivor bracelets and piller knot key rings for those who donated the shells. I would like to send these out this week.

    Thanks for your continued support.

    ASM Pawlowski

Thanks again to all who made this happen. I will collect the gifts and get them to you.
