Bike show bans guns and weapons

I was there with a few bikes and felt put off due to the signs, the thought crossed my mind of not showing there again. I decided to ask the promoters why they put up signs, answer I was given is that it is part of the contract they have with the Rivercenter. I was told that they do not care if people obey and have no plans to enforce, it just part of the deal.
