I really like my surefire earpro if I'm shooting my 12ga indoors I ware muffs too. Not the best if the guy next to you is shooting a 44lc but are great 99% of the time

Am I the only person here with a weird head, or does anyone else have problems getting a good cheekweld on their rifle stock with cans on? I own three pair that I've gotten, both passive and active. Both normal and low profile, can't keep them sealed on the right ear when I mount rifles. I'm open to suggestions. I'd love to try before I buy. I don't need another pair that don't work out for me. They're fine when shooting a handgun but not everyone is strictly a handgunner.

No, you're not the only one. I have a hard time shooting long guns with the can type muffs also. I also have disposable foam ear plugs but am passively looking for something better.

I've never had a problem with my Sordins sealing. My impact sports did because of their cheap foam seal.

Are you blading with your rifle? Try holding the stock as close to your center line as possible.

To tell you the truth, I've never had someone watch me while I'm shooting with the intention of critiquing my style. It's most troublesome when I'm BR shooting, which given my enjoyment of testing loads, is a lot of the time. It still manifests when I shoot standing as well. Thinking about it, I suppose I do blade in that case. Never trained with body armor, so never felt comfortable shooting as if I were trying to take advantage of it. Not that it's a problem with the muff thing, as I get plenty of attenuation with the foam plugs embedded deep in the canals. It's just tough to hear other people like I can with active muffs.

Yes! I agree with this completely. Maybe not possible with a typical hunting-type rifle such as benchrest, but with an MSR, proper shooting stance won't cause interference between low-profile earpro and the stock except maybe when shooting prone. Even with a proper presentation with an MSR however I do note that my new Impact Pro's, which are considerably more bulky, do cause a problem.
