Ran across a good page on lead and figured I'd share: http://dfuse.us/lead.html

I've heard that the filters always say "Full" on them. Apparently if you look by the rental rifles, you'll see that. I think it may have even been earlier in this thread (or perhaps another one on here) where I read that; however, I've never checked to see that for myself because I read about it after I started my personal boycott of Bill's Range. (The store is fine, the range is not.) It does explain the taste and air conditions in there when I've shot there in the past.

Not to derail the thread, but in case you're wondering why the boycott on Bill's Range from me:

1) The Rent-A-Boomstick Crowd = Dangerous and Unsafe.
2) Saw photos (on this forum) of fully automatic weapons sitting on the bench behind the firing line = Dangerous and Unsafe.
3) Air Quality = Dangerous and Unsafe.
4) Expensive place to shoot compared to some other local indoor ranges.

It's only "expensive" if you pay for individual sessions. I buy tokens and pay $12.50 per trip.

I have a gold membership. Free range time for me +1, free targets and rentals, and no waiting for a lane when it's busy. All for $1000 a year. I shoot on average 2+ times a week, so I'm averaging around $8 or less each time I shoot.

Anyone know how the filtering/air quality is at metro gun club compared to BIlls?

I can see where it may be cheaper to have a membership, however, regarding that aspect of it, I'm in the south metro so it's a bit of a drive up there. You have to factor in the time + mileage cost in gas.

Aside from all of that, there's still the other concerns.

I can shoot outdoor year round for a lot less money, more privacy, and if I need to go indoors, I have that option too - all safer and all closer to home.

I'm glad Bill's is cheaper if you get a membership; however Bill's could be free to shoot at and I still wouldn't shoot there. Even in my jobless state right now, money isn't the issue, safety is.

I've heard it's better, however still not as clean as it should be. Now take into account that I've never been to Metro and have heard this second-hand, which is how I'm presenting it, so take it as it is. BPR is fairly clean, but even though that's my beloved indoor home range, given the choice of shooting outdoors or indoors, I'll take outdoors every time if it's warm and dry enough to do so.

That's one reason why I shoot very little in Winter. 1-3 times total and that's it. My BLL went from .21 to .7, and I'd like to keep it that way or lower it even further if possible.
